HTMPL administrator hint

User list consists of current HTMPL user accounts. You can add, modify or delete user accounts from the list. User account contains following attributes.

• User login is an unique user identifier.
• User password is user's personal password. It reflected in user list as row of asterisk. If you change it you must notify the user, otherwise he (she) is out of access to HTMPL. User also can change his(her) password from HTMPL. If $crypt_password variable in cnf.pl is set to yes then all stored password are encrypted. Note that there is no way to retrieve plain password from encrypted text, so you are not aware of users passwords.
• Page directory is the directory where the user's documents and files are stored. Each user must have his own directory. Each user directory must have img subdirectory under it. If $create_user_dir variable in cnf.pl is set to yes then HTMPL_admin.cgi automatically checks pager directories for existence and try to create them if needed, otherwise, you must create page directory and img subdirectory manually.
  You can specify page directory as full path from the root of your server or relatively to your HTMPL script 's directory. For example, suppose your server has following directory structure.

  webroot
      |
      |--users
           |
           |--john
               |--img
           |--mary
               |--img
      |
      |--cgi-bin
           |
           |--htmpl_script (this is where HTMPL script is)
    

  You can specify Mary's page directory as either /webroot/users/mary or ../../users/mary.
• Page url is relative URL from the root of your site which points to page directory. Page url must start with '/'. For example, if full url of user's start page is http://www.mysite.com/users/john/index.html then page url is /users/john.
• Template directory is optional. If you want to store templates for some user separately from pages, specify template directory for the account. If template directory is not specified, then both templates and pages are located in page directory. When assigning template directory use the same rules as for page directory.
• Template url must be set if template directory is assigned. It corresponds to template directory in the same way as page url corresponds to page directory.
• User email is optional information field. It is not currently used by HTMPL.
• Delete user checkbox when set means that this user will be deleted from user list. Note that script does not delete user directory and files.
• Run HTMPL button opens and executes HTMPL in separate window under user's account bypassing login form. It simply passes user login and administrator's password to HTMPL.
